The Keycard hardware wallet provides various functionalities when you use it with the Status app. These functionalities differ depending on whether you use the mobile or desktop version of the app.

Your Keycard stores your Status profile keys. Other profile data, such as your chat, your profile settings, joined communities, and so on, is temporarily saved in the Waku peer-to-peer network and stored permanently on your device.
