Status app is currently in beta stage
The Status app is currently in its beta stage. This means the application is still undergoing active development, and certain features described in this document may function differently or be unavailable within the app.

When you back up your Keycard to another Keycard, you create a copy of the original Keycard. You can use the backup Keycard if you lose the original one, or to keep the two in different locations for convenience and safety.

tip
If you lose your Keycard and don't have a backup Keycard, you can still recover your Status profile and Wallet funds as long as you have the recovery phrase. For more details, check out If you lose your Keycard.
