Community Owners have total control over their communities, including settings, membership approvals and permissions. In addition, Owners can delegate management functions to other community members through the TokenMaster and Admin roles.
To delegate management functions to others, Owners use tokens. Tokens are digital assets in a blockchain (such as the Ethereum blockchain), including assets (virtual coins), collectibles (NFTs) and ENS names.
You use the TokenMaster token to delegate the TokenMaster role to others. When you mint the Owner token, you also mint the TokenMaster token in the same process. You can then airdrop the TokenMaster token to people with whom you want to delegate admin responsibilities.
You use a collectible or ENS name to delegate the Admin role to others. Assets don't have the non-transferable (soulbound) and self-destructing properties collectibles have, making it harder to remove management functions from other users.
To delegate management permissions with the TokenMaster token, airdrop the token to the person you want to give permissions to. For more information, read How to grant the TokenMaster role in your community.
You can revoke the TokenMaster role anytime by remotely destructing the TokenMaster token.
If you use a collectible, follow this process:
