Status v2.34: More New Chains, Market Centre, Real-Time Token List, & More
We’re back with another powerful release — Status v2.34 brings major new functionality to Desktop (Mobile release will follow soon), including in-app news and community features.
From new chains to live token market data and improved community creation, this update boosts performance, usability, and access to web3.
Important: This is a mandatory upgrade for anyone on v2.31 or below. Due to a breaking change in how historical community data is queried, older versions will no longer work as expected.
Additionally, to focus on the most-used platforms, we’ve ended support for macOS devices with Intel chips. The users on macOS devices with Intel chips should NOT upgrade beyond v2.32 — doing so will cause app crashes. See issue #15730 for details.

We’ve added support for:
- Binance Smart Chain – Swap, bridge, send, or receive tokens, and interact with dApps.
- Status Network Testnet – For testing and experimentation with tokens and connecting to dApps.
These additions expand what you can do, where you can do it, directly inside the Status App.
A brand-new Market Centre is here, giving you:
- Real-time token data (prices, volumes, etc.)
- Token list browsing
- Quick access to token swaps
Stay on top of market movements without leaving the app.
You no longer have to wait for an app release to get your token list updated — the app now updates the app token list automatically as soon as new tokens appear on the supported decentralised exchange token lists.
We’ve added a Status News Feed in the Notification Centre to help you stay up to date with releases, announcements, and the latest from the Status team — all without leaving the app.
Creating and voting for communities is now easier and more accessible:
- All users can now create communities by default.
- The community voting feature is now more visible and accessible.

- Debug logs now generate smaller, more manageable files
- Lower memory usage when reading communities
- Optimised processes for unmuting community content
- Community/channel descriptions now allow more flexible characters
- Better swap fees calculation, fee estimation, and sending validation for Ethereum L2 chains.
- Fixed issues with Send flow from saved addresses
- Resolved ENS display name bug
- Profile images now update correctly across paired devices
- Fixed misaligned popups and overlapping UI elements
- Messages no longer appear as “still sending” when they’re not
- Improved handling of deep links and community join links
- Fixed “Remove rejection” appearing on blocked users
- Fixed wallet address is not being resolved into a link in chat
- Fixed community token airdrop
MacOS users with Intel chips should remain on v2.32. Upgrading to v2.33+ will result in app crashes due to a known compatibility issue. More details here.
