The Status app is currently in its beta stage. This means the application is still undergoing active development, and certain features described in this document may function differently or be unavailable within the app.
You can choose which message and mention notifications you want to receive for any group chat. This allows to display only the notifications that are relevant to you.
- 1From the tab bar, tapMessages.
- 2Long press the group chat you want to mute.
- 3TapMute.
- 4Select the length of time you'd like to mute your notifications.
When you mute notifications for a group chat, it appears greyed with a Muted icon.
To avoid missing important messages, you can mute some notifications. Here's how to mute all group chat notifications except personal mentions.
- 1From the tab bar, tapMessages.
- 2Long press the group chat you want to mute.
- 3TapNotifications.
- 4SelectGlobal mentions>Notifications off.
- 5SelectAll other messages>Notifications off.
- 6VerifyPersonal mentionsis set toOn. If it is not, selectPersonal mentions>Notifications on.
- 1From the tab bar, tapMessages.
- 2Tap your profile picture.
- 3Scroll down the list of settings and tapNotifications.
- 4SelectGroup chats>Your default notification settings.
- 5Turn offPersonal mentions,Global mentionsandAll other messages.
