Status app is currently in beta stage
The Status app is currently in its beta stage. This means the application is still undergoing active development, and certain features described in this document may function differently or be unavailable within the app.
Sharing images is not available on Status Web.

To enrich your conversations in Status, you can share images in DM (direct messages) chats, group chats and channels. When you share an image, other participants can download, react or answer to it.

Contrary to other messaging apps using a centralized server, Status protects your privacy using a peer-to-peer network to deliver your messages. This peer-to-peer network in Status allows for a limited number of images per message. To share more images, you can send additional messages, each with its own set of images.

Currently, sharing files isn't possible on the Status peer-to-peer network.
