The Status app is currently in beta. This means the app is still undergoing active development, and certain features described in this document may function differently or be unavailable in the app.

Currently, you can only use Keycard with the Status desktop app.

The Keycard PIN functions as a password for your Keycard. You can change it at any time as long as you know the current Keycard PIN.

caution
If you enter the wrong PIN three times, your Keycard locks. You need to unlock it or perform a factory reset. Your funds are safe as long as you know the recovery phrase.

    Plug in your Keycard using a card reader, and allow the connection if you see a security alert from your computer.

    In Status, from the navigation sidebar, click
    Settings
     >
    Keycard
    .

    Click the Keycard whose PIN you want to change and click
    Change PIN
    .
  4. 4
    Enter the current PIN.
  5. 5
    Enter and confirm the new PIN.
  6. 6
    Click
    Finalise
    .
  7. 7
    Click
    Done
     to confirm.
